Major research center selects eBid eXchange to centralize and streamline their supplier management and sourcing
SEATTLE, WA (PR WEB)
eBid Systems, a leading provider of e-procurement solutions, announced today that Fermilab has selected its cloud-based software, eBid eXchange, to manage its supplier database and sourcing needs. With eBid eXchange, Fermilab will centralize internal access to an extensive list of pre-qualified suppliers and efficiently manage sourcing activities.
Fermilab is a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory employing 1,750 people, specializing in high-energy particle physics research. In fiscal year 2013, Fermilab purchased goods and services valued at $132 million. A leader in scientific research, Fermilab collaborates with thousands of experts and laboratories around the world and stands at the forefront of cutting edge discovery.
eBid eXchange will provide Fermilab users with a centralized platform for standardizing supplier qualification and ensuring visibility of qualified suppliers through the enterprise. For added convenience and security, eBid Systems is providing LDAP integration with Fermilab’s Active Directory system. eBid eXchange will be deployed with a selectable library of terms and conditions for bid solicitations. The standard clause library will streamline the process for creating new sourcing events and ensure that appropriate contract terms and conditions are used.
