Seattle, WA - July 1, 2004 – eBid Systems is pleased to announce the launch of a new procurement Web site for Sound Transit powered by Version 6.0 of eBid Enterprise.

Since 2002, Sound Transit has been using procurement software from eBid Systems to streamline their communications with thousands of vendors that compete for their business opportunities. The latest version of their Web application, adds many important features to allow Sound Transit to manage the complete lifecycle of contracts from bid solicitation to closeout.

New contract management features allow procurement staff to track contract modifications, subcontractors, and communications required to setup, maintain, and closeout contracts. Supplier diversity tracking is also dramatically streamlined. Prime contractors with Sound Transit can now log into the Web application and directly enter information about their payments to subcontractors and their required Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) documentation regarding the ethnicity of their workforce.

Additional enhancements to their Web application include handling two-step procurement actions, a configurable workflow for handling the continuous of stream of incoming requests for information, the ability to send attachments with outbound fax messages.
