Operations

eBid eXchange is web-based so there is no software to install. Utilizing Microsoft's .NET platform and SQL Server database software, multiple, dedicated servers handle application, database, and messaging functions to provide superior functionality, reliability, and security.

Data Center

A high-security "Class A" Network Operations Center (NOC) that features climate-control, raised flooring, uninterruptible power supply, and automated fire suppression. The NOC is staffed 24x7 and is served by redundant, high-speed Internet connections, routers and switches. Virus definitions are continuously updated and all incoming and outgoing files are scanned for the presence of viruses. Servers reside behind a monitored firewall and sensitive data is transmitted via Secure Sockets Layer using 128-bit encryption.

Business Continuity

All servers have RAID controllers, and redundant hard drives, power supplies, and network cards. Software code and databases are backed up nightly to tape drives in the NOC. Automated restore software is available to efficiently access backup data.

Availability

All servers are continuously monitored from four worldwide locations by a third-party service, allowing independent verification that our system availability exceeds 99.9%.
